Dr. Reinhard Rauball Career – Football and Politics
Rauball completed his education in law and started working in 1976 as a lawyer in a reputed law firm of Dortmund. From 1979 to 1982, when he was at the age of 32, he served as the youngest President of BVB (German name for Borussia Dortmund) in the history of Bundesliga league. Then again from 1984 to 1986, he resumed the office of BVB for the 2nd term.
By around 1990s, he became famous as a Sports lawyer and also represented famous sportspersons like Graciano Rocchigiani and Katrin Krabbe.
Later in 1999, Reinhard Rauball became the Minister of Justice for the German state, North Rhine-Westphalia. But he held this position for 1 week only, from 1 March 1999 to 8th March 1999. He replaced the chairman Wolfgang Niersbach for this position in 2015, and in 2016, he was succeeded by the chairman Reinhard Grindel.
